Ms. Sue Catozzi - 2nd Grade Teacher
I have been teaching second grade at St. Francis Xavier School since 2008. I came to SFX after teaching 2nd grade at St. Joseph School in Burlington for 11 years and teaching in the special education program at Malletts Bay School in Colchester for 2 years.
I graduated from Castleton State College with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading Instruction Intervention. I am looking forward to finishing my Master's degree at St. Michael's College in literacy very soon.
I have two great boys. Matthew is a senior at the University of Vermont, majoring in neuroscience when he graduates in May. After that, he plans on taking a phlebotomy program and studying to get into medical school. My son, Ryan, is a senior at South Burlington High School. He loves computer science and drawing. He plans on majoring in architectural engineering in college. My hobbies include reading, biking, crafting, and designing new games/activities to supplement my classroom instruction. I also love to spend time with my family.
One of my favorite quotes is: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."
