Mrs. Keeley Schell - Librarian & Digital Learning
Books and learning are two of my absolute favorite things, and I’ve enjoyed sharing that excitement about learning with students in SFX Library and Information Literacy classes since 2021.
Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, I received my bachelor’s degree in Classics (Latin and Greek) from Duke University. For graduate study, I first earned a master’s in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic from Cambridge (focusing on medieval Irish saints’ lives), then returned to the US and completed a Ph.D. in Classics at Brown. I moved to Vermont in 2011.
My professional life has involved stints as a college professor, a marketing writer and editor, a substitute teacher in grades 6-12, and most recently a sales trainer. This varied employment has given me fluency in a wide range of technology and communication tools.
I live with my husband and three kids in Essex Junction and am part of the Essex Catholic Community (St. Lawrence). We enjoy trail running, cross-country skiing, music, and of course books!
