St. Francis Xavier School

My name is Christian Dowd and I’m so excited to be teaching P.E. in this amazing community.

I grew up in northern New Jersey before making my way to the University of Vermont and studying social work. After working in several different capacities in schools, I had to accept that what I love most is really what I’m best at - playing sports and staying active with kids!
 

I’m currently focused on obtaining a M. Ed. from Saint Michael’s College, where I also work as a Resident Director. Catholic education is important to me, and I was fortunate to have spent my youth in a school community just like SFX. I’m very passionate about forming meaningful relationships with students and helping them achieve their goals.

 

I love hanging out with my friends and family, coaching baseball, and anything to do with dogs.  I’m also a huge fan of the NY Mets and NY Jets.
